Book Review

Courtship of Nellie Mae Fisher – 3 part series
*I LOVE books – for any of you that know me from childhood and on I cannot read enough. I read everywhere and everything – books, magazines, articles, at home, in the car, in the morning, at night, etc.  I also read very fast (much to the annoyance of my husband) – BUT I don’t always comprehend like I should… ok enough of this tangent.
This is the first time I have read a book by this author, Beverly Lewis; and the first time I’ve read an Amish based series.  I loved it.  Surrounding my home are lots of Amish but they are a very private community and I don’t know much about them or their beliefs.  These books were a great introduction to their lives.  Very biblical based with a great story of redemption, and of course a love story thrown in there – what woman doesn’t love a young, pure love story.
I strongly prefer neat ends – with all the t’s crossed, and i’s dotted. J This isn’t always possible but with this series for the most part they were.
I would highly recommend these books to a friend and will probably be passing them along shortly – what’s even better than a book – a FREE book!

  1. Jess, have you ever read any books by Dee Henderson?? Or Kristen Heitzmann? They are both christian authors that I LOVE!!!

Kristen Heitzmann has a book called "A Rush of Wings." It is one of my favorite books EVER! A good Christian woman's book about a believer and a non-believer and a little bit of romance. A very good read. (The Still of Night is the sequel)

And Dee Henderson has a series called "The O'Malley Series." Each book is about a different member of the family, their struggle with faith, etc. I am working my way through this series for the second time right now. Another good read!
