Adoption

so first I found this site - The Journey

And then I stumbled upon these two - Joining the Journey  and Oatsvall Team

Yesterday this sweet lady found me - A Moment Cherished -  She left me the sweetest comment and I thought I would check her out.

Here is word for word the email I sent my hubby after checking out her site:

"it may be a whisper but I do whisper this prayer to God sometimes... although unspoken. I would love to help rescue a child some day.  I used to be terrified of it and scared of even thinking of traveling somewhere across the world for a baby who I can't even imagine loving as much as my own babies.... but I do. I  do want to help a baby out.

There is no way you can skim all the entries like I did.... it just really hit me this time for some reason.

Praying that God would direct our paths in the coming months/years.  We never know His time frame but we know that ALL is always in His will.

So today I am thankful for those whispers in our heart....  God can use the most quiet whisper in the biggest way.....

  1. So glad you're attuned to those whispers! May God work His plan in your lives in His time and His way.

Hope you have a great day!

  2. Oh, to be quiet enough to hear his whispers. I actually was on a different account, which I happened to write about today, too.

    Keep hearing them yourself. :)

  3. I am right where you are. For a few years, I've said that I wanted to adopt. My husband would just look at me. I think it was something I imagined, but couldn't quite comprehend doing. It has become so much more real to me in recent months. I've begun praying that my husband would hear the same whispers. And I have started sharing my heart with him on the matter. I think he's starting to see how I really feel about the whole thing. I've enjoyed reading Adeye's blog at http://www.nogreaterjoymom.com Her husband also started one last week, its address is the same, only dad, not mom. Thanks for sharing :)
