I had the privilege of sitting in on our middle Sunday School class this morning (3rd - 6th grade).
It was so exciting to hear the prayer requests in this class. These children are so young - their hearts are so tender towards the smallest things. The faith in them is just amazing, and very touching.
Their class was reviewing Acts 3:6-9 ( 6But Peter said, "I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene--walk!" 7And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. 8With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. 9And all the people saw him walking and praising God;).
Did you realize that the man wasn't healed until he got up. He had to take a 'step' of faith before he could be healed. How often do we think we have faith until something happens and then we realize we really don't. It takes faith for things to happen.
That really spoke to me this morning as we are going through something along that line. We think we have that faith but we need to just take that first 'step/leap' and see what happens. Pray for us will you.
