A New Month

Sometimes I struggle with what to write for my Gratituesday.  I enjoy this post so much and some days it feels like I'm just grabbing something out of thin air and others I feel like I'm being too general or specific (depending on the day)......  But I don't think it truly matters what I write about as long as my heart is truly thankful.

Yesterday I saw a post on a friends facebook status that read something like this "What if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday".  Whoa.  That was a big eye opener for me.  How true (and scary) that is.

So for me today I'm thankful that God has given me (and my family) another month together.  We don't know our length of time here on earth and I need to be thankful everyday for the grace He gives us.  Sometimes I worry I'm wasting my time with so many trivial things but even those trivial things can bring God glory if I only ask Him for it.

It's a new month - let's be sure to thank God for it!

    Thank you for giving me something to think about. It's so easy to only thank God for the big things and just ignore the little things He does for us every day. Small things like opening our eyes in the morning and taking a breath are all precious gifts from Him.
