Last night our church hosted the ABC Chorale from Appalachian Bible College. It was beautiful and an encouragement in the most wonderful ways.
But as it goes with many of these events these students then needed housing for the evening after the concert (it is a ministry after all).
Right now we have 7 college age girls in our house - freshman and sophomores to be exact and it is just wonderful. Lydia is having the time of her life! A college age Lydia is staying here too and my Lydia has not let her out of her sight yet! It is the cutest thing.
I am so thankful we agreed to take them... we get to bless these students in neat and unusual ways while in return they bless us just by being here with us. The time of fellowship we had with them last night after the concert sitting around and eating chips and salsa was just so heart warming.
This house is not ours... we don't own it. God gave it to us to use for His glory and last night was just a reminder to just say 'yes' when these opportuntities arise.... the blessing you'll receive here and the reward in Heaven will be totally worth the extra hours of cleaning, loss of sleep, extra costs you'll incur cause you know what.....the helping of a sister or brother in Christ way out weighs any of that.
