Heavy Thinking

I've been quiet over here and doing some heavy thinking.... mulling over things discovered.......trying to figure out exactly what to do.

In the Nursery of the Nation did a three part series on letting God determine your family size awhile ago. (Intro, Part I, Part II, Part III) While I was convicted on many of the points I still did not know exactly what to do. And then God continued to put pieces of the puzzles out in front of me as this last week progressed.  Last Tuesday we had our final study on Abortion from Culture Shock by Chip Ingram.  This is what I took away from it:

Gulp.... unformed body.... that only happens in the first day or two of a baby being created, after that the heart beat starts and the body begins to form.  So I started researching a bit more.  The information is out there we just have to be willing to look for it, read it, and accept it. I went directly to the page of the bc pill I am on and found this:

HOW DO POPS WORK?

• They make the cervical mucus at the entrance to the womb (the uterus) too thick for the sperm to get through to the egg.
• They prevent ovulation (release of the egg from the ovary) in about half the time.
• They also affect other hormones, the fallopian tubes and the lining of the uterus.

Um... do you what this means.... that about half the time the pill works to to prevent ovulation, the other half of the time the lining of your uterus is changes so that the fertilized egg can't attach it's self to you where it would begin being fed and nurtured.  As I said to my husband we, as in us personally, don't believe what they tell us about vaccinations, why in the world should we believe the government about our bc pills.

So I went a bit farther and found this site:

These include oral contraceptives (the "Pill"), IUD, Norplant, Depo-Provera, Emergency Contraception (the "Morning-After Pill"), and anti-fertility vaccines. The U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare defined abortion as follows:

Oh boy. So needless to say I'm going to be taking my temp pretty regularly in the future and using some of the items from the first set above ;)

What are your thoughts on the above? Have any of you done any research yourself?

I am beyond thankful to Jesus and to Bambi for being honest and straight forward even when the norm goes against you.  I am amazed at how these pieces were so carefully laid out in front of me - if they came too soon I would have denied them - if they came to late I may have ignored them. But my heart was soft and open - someone must have been praying for me.
