Clutter-Busting: Day 2

It was another successful day.  :)

Yesterday MoneySavingMom told a neat story about how she got her girls to throw some of their stuff away. I loved the idea so I thought I would try it with Lydia.  Total and epic fail.  She was so excited but brought me four of her favorite toys to give away.... and then became hysterical when I wouldn't pay her for them.... some of you know she has some emotional issues, and some processing delays that we are working on. I don't know if it was that she just didn't understand or what. BUT... it was a fail.  I had hoped to try it again today but we spent all morning outside so that was the area I concentrated on today.

I was able to get rid of 31 items today!

Mostly broken sand toys, random pieces of games that we either don't have anymore or the rest of the pieces have already been broken and thrown away.  A toy cell phone that had been left out in the rain one too many times, a butter bowl the children love to catch and keep bugs in that had seen better days, and some of the lining from the toy box that was peeling away.

The outside toy box looks so nice all cleaned up and organized.  We'll see how long that last. :)

Total tally of items: 38
