This post is a totally sappy but true one.
My hubby is my favorite everything. ha!
I just love every once again to give him a shout out. It builds him up and reminds me of how blessed I am.
My birthday is this weekend and I have a very hard time leaving him in the evenings or on the weekends. But he's insisting on some 'me' time. I think he may have been sneaking a read at my Desperate book! So tonight Lydia and I get to go to Girls of Grace at my friend's house, and on Saturday my best friend and I are having a shopping day - Rite-Aid, CVS, Giant Eagle, and Wal-Mart - all without kids.... hey that's huge for both of us! :)
But truly - he's just my favorite person to spend time with. I am so blessed to have him in my life. We are starting to get ready to do an overhaul of our dietary and physical lives... we've both put on a couple extra pounds with the birth of three kids and we need to get it taken care of now before it gets any worse. There is no one I would rather be trying to do this with.
As I laid in bed this morning surrounded by our two youngest little ones I was overcome with thankfulness for the sacrifices he makes so that I'm able to stay home with our little family. I used to work in the same building as him so we rode to and from work together, we walked into the building together, we ate lunch together, we could see each other pretty much anytime we wanted. At one point his office was across from the woman's bathroom and I was pregnant at the time... so yes we saw each other a lot. When I quit it was a huge adjustment for both of us. More so for him.... but he's just so wonderful to take over so many of the things I can't do anymore since I'm not in town on a regular basis.... the grocery shopping, the drugstore shopping, bank errands, post office errands... you name it he does it and all without complaining. I am so blessed to call him my husband and the father of our children!
So sappy yes - corny yes - true - absolutely!!!!!
