Desperate: Conclusion

"By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches." Proverbs 24: 3-4

This last chapter is basically a letter from mentor Sally to mentee Sarah Mae.

A couple nuggets of her sweet and sincere knowledge.

A mother, living well in her God-ordained role, is of great beauty and inestimable value to the future of any generation. pg 180

Please, sweet friend, don't measure your worth to /god by the times you fail any more than we would be upset with a toddler for acting in an immature way. pg 185

I began to see that the reason He gave me my children and the responsibility of their care is that it was a perfect way of conforming me to the image of Christ. pg 186

Sally also expands on each of the three subjects below.
  • Stay Strong and Hold Fast to Your Ideals
  • Accept Your Failures and Limitations as a Part of the Process
  • Expect God to Work Powerfully and Engage Your Heart in Faith
At the end of the book there is also a large Q&A with Sally.  There is some fantastic advice in those answers!
